"White Raven Calling"

Linda Berry processes the essence of the "Raven." She has the heart of a Raven, it is
her power animal. Her glyph design (see glyph at top of page) has incorporated the Raven
within the Medicine Wheel (circle). The circle encompasses the head and feathers of the
Raven and is finished off with the crescent of the moon (top right). Also, because she's
a "Shapshifter" like the Raven, she's on a circular journey - eventually ending up coming
back to herself as she travels between past, present, and future time, as well as human,
animal and spirit lives.
The "White" color of the bird (reversed out of the glyph design) is to signify
positive energy, the pure, the truth, and the Higher Self (Crown Chakra) - white light
and Shapeshifting energy. The Raven is "Calling" forth medicine from the wheel
and the spirit world (receiving healing information) and sharing it with others to help
them heal. Blue is used to represent the color of the Throat Chakra, Calling forth and
communicating information. Indigo is the color representing the Third Eye Chakra and
and the intuitive energy needed for spiritual readings.

The eye is left out in the Raven's head because this glyph is to be very simple and clean
looking, when features are added it takes away from the simplicity. Also, there is to be
no particular representation of a personality because the bird "Shapeshifts," putting forth
higher energy, and is to remain "ego free" if it is to be of help to others.
Black Elk, an Ogalala Sious, tells us –
"You have noticed that everything an Indian does is in a circle, and that is because
the power of the world always was in circles, and everything tries to be round.
The sky is round and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball, and so are
the stars. The wind, in its greatest power, whirls. Birds make their nests in circles,
for theirs is the same religion as ours. Even the seasons form a great circle in their
changing, and always come back again to where they were. The life of a human is a circle
from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves."
